The
hydros®technology has been developed by Karl Weiss for trenchless
replacement and new laying of both services and mains. In the hydros®technology,
hydraulic pulling units remove the old cast iron pipes from the ground.
The new pipe is then attached to the old pipe via a transitional adapter
so that the new pipe is laid into the soil while the old pipe is being removed.
The benefits of this extremely quiet (< 55 dB (A)) and vibration-free
technology is fast, cost-effective, environmentally friendly and complete
replacement of pipelines made of any material. The following techniques
