As the Managing Director of the Delivery Sector, Edward "Eddie" Johnston leads GTI´s efforts to address the strategic concerns of domestic gas transmission and distribution infrastructure and create exceptional value for GTI customers. Johnston plans and directs all R&D activities for technology concepts, products, and services for the Delivery sector. Areas of focus include safety, pipeline integrity, cost reduction, and efficiency.
Johnston has comprehensive industry experience, a proven track record, and a solid reputation in the industry. Prior to joining GTI, he worked for Atmos Energy Corporation for 15 years.
In 1993, Andreas earned a Diploma degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in Mechnical Engineering from the Technische Universität Berlin. He is Director of R&D as well as Quality Management Representative in accordance with ISO 9001 at Karl Weiss Technologieunternehmen GmbH & Co. KG of Berlin, Germany. In this position, he is responsible for the development of trenchless technologies for rehabilitation of high-pressure pipelines using starline® CIP liners as well as for the trenchless renewal of pressure pipelines using hydros® push-pull-methods.
Andreas works as a chairman closely on DVGW (German Gas and Water Association) task groups for the development of work sheets and certification procedures for trenchless technologies.
